i need to stop waking up so late. X(
((You definitely have a personality. You have a passion for drawing (and butts, but that’s besides the point) and you have a sense of humor I can appreciate. ^_^))i draw butts and tell jokes.
i have come to realize people would prefer art drawn in my style, but by someone completely different than me. :I
on second thought, re-draw the anime some other day, i feel bluh. :(
bluh, should probs warm up before diving into drawing anime girls tho. :U
I’ve been enjoying the anime because OTT fight scenes are my favourite thing ever. But the skimpy outfits have made me wince on more than one occasion. Looking forward to seeing your re-do. :3cbasically my thoughts summed up, they had a thing, but they fanserviced the hell out of it and it’s disappointing. :(
it’ll probs make a lot of people angry, but i think i’ll try a quick re-write of the original concept for Kill la Kill, sans the horrid parts and with a cooler transformed Ryuko. :U
I try to be as fair and unbiased as possible when taking a look at controversial media (particularly media that is considered controversial for reasons related to sexism, sexual assault and rape) because it is an issue that is extremely close to me as both a victim of rape and, frankly, a person in general. When Kill la Kill was first subbed and introduced to English-speaking audiences it was received with mixed reviews. Some hailed it as a piece of revolutionary, feminist media and others criticized it for being sexist and damaging to people everywhere.
Under normal circumstances, I would wait until the entire show had aired before passing judgment but after watching some 16 episodes of Kill la Kill I have come to a conclusion, and unfortunately it is not a positive one.
and boom, there they are,
the final nails in the coffin of what was a good idea,
but was executed incredibly poorly.
